Welcome Family, Extended Family, and Friends...
Thanks for coming aboard. Just to know you are virtually out there is a really comforting thought. Feel free to use this however you want; lurk, read, ask questions, leave comments, just check in. It's a way for us to share this journey in the days ahead, for you to stay updated, and us to feel we have a way to respond to your interest. We know these next few months are not going to be a walk in the park but we have great confidence in the medical personnel involved, the medical center, and feel deeply that "everything's gonna be all right". Love to hear from you if you feel so inclined!

ReplyDeleteLove you!!!
ReplyDeleteLove and strength to both of you. Charlie you are in my heart. Ann, as a caretaker you will be there for Charlie every step of the way. Please know that I have been in that role and you need support too please reach out to those that are close to you. You both will be strong and I am here with anything that you need. Have confidence in your team, ask questions and put everything else on pause. It will be behind you before you know it. Love and positive thoughts every day. Ellen B
ReplyDeleteHolding you up in my heart. Will send positive thoughts to you and family regularly, and am available for any needs down the road!
ReplyDeleteCharlie, Please call on any of us for help of any kind. It won't be a walk in the park as you said but leave some of the heavy lifting to all of us who love you. I can cook a mean dinner, provide dry firewood, roast you some coffee,.... just let me know. Shalom. Doug V.
ReplyDeleteDear beloved you-s……
ReplyDeleteoh my. An unexpected journey indeed. I will be thinking of you.
Tomorrow we are going to Hawaii for the month of February so no baked bean casseroles from me….but I will garner in and send your way all the healing energy that ocean and the ways of people living close to the land can generate and send it all to you. Every day.
Be well my friend — now you get to cash in on all the good living and loving friends you have gathered over the years. There is a lot of love surrounding you both.

Dearest Ann and Charlie,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this generous share. Your kind gesture gathers us into a humming little galaxy of Love Backatcha. All kinds of helping hearts and hands, ready on the double.

Bone:
ReplyDeleteSometime life hands us a shit sandwich and tells us to taker a big bite. Knowing you as I do, you will face it with the same determination, fortitude and spirit that have taken you through other battles and various life challenges. Know that what ever you need in the way of support, resources, someone to be by you bedside with you wife while you prepare for surgery and come out of surgery. Happy to help with chores while you are laid up - grind some corn, shoot a deer or meat, spit some wood for the fire, etc. Let me know and I will jump on a plane and be up there. Face this with courage and optimism knowing that you have me as your wingman.

So: Ann, our original connection is the Bone, but we're thinking of you, and of what Charlie said today - that you are into this with gusto, making lists and organizing the weeks ahead. We are your support group here. Ring the chimes when you want to. We want you to.
ReplyDeleteFor the both of you: We're in your stagecoach from March 1 to May 1 when you can look back.
P.S. Good to know Cav will grind corn/shoot deer/split wood when called upon. Noone I'd rather have do it. We'll be there with him if needed.

I can't count the number of times that you've pitched in to help me over the years. I'd be honored to return the favor. Please do call on me. The two of you are in our prayers.
